Electronic Poker is a favored game that can be enjoyed in casinos around the world, or in your house on your computer, through a web connection. Of course, methods used in a physical game of poker, such as bluffing, will be irrelevant in Video Poker.
The game of Electronic Poker begins when the gambler inserts credits (whether it’s tokens, tickets or money) into the video poker machine and presses the deal button. A hand of five cards will be "given out" on the screen.
The Electronic Poker game also has hold buttons, and bettors should now decide which cards to hold and which to discard. For the cards the bettor would like to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons must be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can decide to keep any amount of cards they want, from all to none.
After the gambler has decided on which cards he would like to retain, the player will then press ‘deal’, which will mean that any fresh cards are handed out if desired. The game is now finished, with the Video Poker machine analyzing the hand to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands printed on the payment schedule.
Normally, the lowest succeeding hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money getting larger for each and every better hand. A common list of winning hands begins with jacks or better, and moves on to 2 pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It goes without saying that the payout schedule can range from game to game, so that experienced gamblers are agile enough to select the most profitable ones every time.
Once the first round has finished, the player can either decide to continue on in an attempt to increase their earnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any money that has been won. Further, a few versions of the game allow the gambler an opportunity to double their winnings, in which case a further game is played. There are also differences among individual machines, with some virtual decks having wild cards and other varying characteristics to increase playability.
