How to Enjoy Video Poker

Electronic Poker is a popular game that can be enjoyed in casinos across the world, or in your house on your PC, through a net account. The game rules are absolutely simple and consist of the player attempting to get the best combination of cards possible in order to acquire money. In this respect it is much the same as a normal game of poker, without the involvement with other players. Of course, methods used in a physical game of poker, such as bluffing, will be useless here.
The game of Video Poker starts when the gambler puts credits (either tokens, credit slips or money) into the video poker machine and presses the draw button. A hand of five cards will be "distributed" on the video screen.
The Electronic Poker machine also has hold buttons, and gamblers should now pick which cards to hold and which to throw away. For the cards the gambler wishes to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons must be pressed so that they light up. The player can decide to keep any number of cards they wish, whether it’s all or none.
After the player has chosen which cards he wishes to keep, the player will then press ‘draw’, which will mean that any fresh cards will be dealt if desired. The round is now finished, with the Electronic Poker machine scanning the cards to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands listed in the pay out schedule.
Typically, the minimum succeeding hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money growing for each better hand. A list of common winning hands starts with jacks or better, moving on to 2 pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It should be known that the pay out schedule can range from machine to machine, so that knowledgeable enthusiasts are agile enough to choose the most money-making machine each time.
As soon as the initial round has played out, the player can either choose to stay on and try to to increase their earnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any money that they may have won. Further, several versions of the game give the player an opportunity to double their winnings, in which case a further hand is played. There are also differences between specific games, with some decks of cards having wild cards and other differing elements to increase playability.
