Video Poker is a favored game that can be wagered on in casinos throughout the world, or alternatively at home on your personal computer, using a web connection. The game rules are very simple and involve the player trying to achieve the highest assemblage of cards as you can in order to come away with cash. A common list of winning hands starts with jacks or better, moving on to two pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It goes without saying that the pay out schedule can range from machine to machine, so that skillful enthusiasts are agile enough to pick the most profitable game each instance.

After the first round has played out, the player can either choose to continue on in an attempt to maximize their winnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any money that might have been won. Additionally, a few versions of the game allow the player an opportunity to double their winnings, in which situation a further hand is played. There are also variations between specific games, with some virtual decks having wild cards and other differing aspects to enhance playability.
