Electronic Poker is a beloved game that usually will be wagered on in casinos around the world, or alternatively at home on your personal computer, using a net account. The game rules are absolutely simple and involve the player trying to get the greatest mixture of cards achievable in order to win cash. In this respect it’s very similar as a regular game of poker, minus the involvement with competing players. Of course, techniques employed during a physical game of poker, like tricking, will be irrelevant here.

The game of Video Poker begins when the enthusiast puts credits (either tokens, credit slips or money) into the machine and pushes the draw button. A five card hand will be "dealt" on the screen.

The Electronic Poker game also has buttons with ‘hold’ written on them, and enthusiasts will need to now choose which cards to keep and which to throw away. For the cards the bettor wishes to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons need to be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can choose to keep any amount of cards they want, whether it is all or none.

After the player has decided on which cards she would like to retain, they should press ‘deal’, at which point any new cards will be needed they will be handed out. The hand is now finished, with the Video Poker machine analyzing the hand to see if it matches any of the winning hands listed in the pay out schedule.

Typically, the minimum succeeding hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money getting larger for each better hand. A common list of winning hands starts with jacks or better, moving on to two pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It is obvious that the payment schedule can change from machine to machine, so that discerning players are agile enough to select the most money-making game each and every time.

Once the initial round has finished, the player can either decide to continue on and try to to increase their winnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any credits that they may have won. Additionally, a few versions of the game allow the bettor an opportunity to double their wins, in which case another game is played. There are also variations between individual games, with some decks of cards including wild cards and other varying aspects to increase playability.
