Electronic Poker is a popular game that can be wagered on in casinos around the world, or in your house on your computer, through a web connection. The regulations are absolutely straightforward and consist of the player trying to get the greatest assemblage of cards as you can in order to come away with cash. In this respect it’s much the same as a classic game of poker, without the line of contact with competing players. Of course, methods employed during a physical game of poker, such as bluffing, will be useless here.

The game of Electronic Poker begins when the gambler puts credits (either tokens, credit slips or cash) into the machine and pushes the play button. A 5 card hand will then be "distributed" on the video screen.

The Electronic Poker game also has buttons with ‘hold’ printed on them, and players will need to now choose which cards to hold and which to discard. For the cards the player would like to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons must be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can decide to keep any amount of cards they want, whether it’s all or none.

After the bettor has selected which cards he or she wishes to keep, they should press ‘draw’, which will mean that any new cards are needed they will be given out. The game is now finished, with the Electronic Poker machine scanning the cards to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands listed in the pay out schedule.

Typically, the lowest winning hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money increasing for each better hand. A common list of winning hands starts with jacks or better, and moves on to two pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It is obvious that the pay out schedule can change from machine to machine, so that skillful gamblers are able to select the most beneficial ones each and every instance.

As soon as the initial round has completed, the player can either decide to remain on in an attempt to increase their earnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any money that they may have won. Further, several versions of the game give the player a chance to double their winnings, in which case a further hand is played. There are also variations between specific machines, with some decks of cards including wild cards and other varying aspects to increase playability.
