Electronic Poker is a beloved game that usually will be enjoyed in casinos throughout the world, or in your house on your home computer, through a net connection. The rules are absolutely simple and involve the player trying to achieve the highest combination of cards possible in order to come away with cash. In this respect it is much the same as a normal game of poker, without the involvement with any other players. For the cards the player would like to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons must be pressed so that they light up. The player can choose to keep any amount of cards they want, whether it’s all or none.

After the player has decided on which cards she would like to keep, the player will then press ‘draw’, which will mean that any new cards are dealt if desired. The hand is now completed, with the Video Poker machine analyzing the cards to see if it matches any of the winning hands printed on the pay out schedule.

Generally, the minimum succeeding hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money increasing for each better hand. A common list of winning hands starts with jacks or better, moving on to two pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It should be known that the payout schedule can vary from game to game, so that knowledgeable bettors are agile enough to pick the most beneficial machine every time.

As soon as the first round has finished, the player can either choose to remain on and try to to increase their earnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any money that has been won. Further, some styles of the game give the player a chance to double their profits, in which instance a further game is played. There are also variations among specific machines, with some decks of cards including wild cards and other varying aspects to increase playability.
